This 3-hour Continuing Education course is entitled "Hurricanes and Their Impact on Insurance." It is designed as a self-paced course done entirely online at your convenience. After successfully completing and passing the entire online course, you will have fulfilled your CE requirements.
The course will present a review of hurricane characteristics and forecasting, emphasizing policies ensuring hurricane losses, coverage questions and underwriting changes since Hurricane Andrew of 1992. In addition, types of insurance policies, the impact of hurricanes on the insurance industry will be discussed.
The online course consists of seven lessons in two units, as well as two (2) twenty-five multiple choice question Unit Exams which are electronically scored online. You must achieve a passing score of 70% or better for each exam. The program will only allow you to re-take a new exam if you score less than 70%. A Final Exam is also included.
