3.10: Parts E and F - Other Provisions


Part E of the personal automobile policy describes various responsibilities of the insured following an accident or loss. These responsibilities included: prompt notice and forwarding of legal papers, cooperation, submission to physical exams, submission to examinations under oath, a requirement to send a proof of loss to the insurer, a requirement to report any hit-and-run or theft claims to the police, a requirement to protect insured property against further loss, and a requirement to allow inspection and appraisal of the damaged property prior to repair or disposal.
